The A/C guy came out... some coil something or other is kaput. I don't have a clue about all of the technical detail, but Chris understands it. Bottom line, we can't replace the part, we have to replace the unit - to the tune of $3500 - $4000!
We put a band-aid on it by adding more freon. He said that could hold it a while, or just a couple of days. A while is much better in my book...
